Be cool to see other pilots on a live map when connected to the hub..

Thank you! The live map is definitely on the list!

Discord server would be cool, members can chat and hangout there and fly together.

For the discord server, we thought about it but decided to build this community section here along with flying clubs and fly-ins. You can already create your own flying club and schedule fly-in and invite all group members. We plan to expend this community features and happy to hear your thoughts. Having it on one platform will allow us to make it more interactive and have more flexibility on what we can do.

I second the live map. Also, the ability to link FSS to SayIntentions would be great. Maybe even get a dedicated frequency for comms between active FSS pilots.

I noticed the FlightSimSocial log uses real-world times, not in-sim time. I flew a flight from KVCT to KISM that had a flight time of 3:22, departing at 21:17Z and arriving at 00:39Z. I stepped away, paused the flight for about an hour and a half (dinner with the family), and then resumed. The FSS times were 21:27z and 02:31z, respectively. Also, the start and stop times do not seem to be based on engine start and shutdown, but on something else. Otherwise, the FSS log is really good!

It's a shame that FlightSimBuilder decided to leave out X-Plane users and only created the hub software for Windows and MSFS 2020 and 2024. As a Mac user flying X-Plane 12 I'm left out in becoming Founding Pilot. So we are good enough to be able to buy your gear but we aren't a good enough "friend" to be invited "for a $100 hamburger"....

Hey Bens74 — fair point, and I hear you. We didn’t leave X-Plane out by choice. X-Plane support is actively in the works; the data plumbing on the X-Plane side is quite different from MSFS, so there are a few technical hurdles we’re still working through, but it should be added soon. And I’m sure we’ll do something special for X-Plane users when it lands. The one honest caveat: the Hub is Windows-only right now, so even with X-Plane support, Mac won’t be covered on day one. A Mac version of the Hub is on the roadmap too — it’s just further down the line than the X-Plane work. Appreciate the push — we’d rather hear it than not.

@Stan Anderson Thank you for your quick response. I hear you and, knowing the technical challenges, I do understand the decision. Maybe for the next releases it would be nice to be transparent about the roadmap as well or at least communicate that the X-Plane/Mac development is coming as well but at a later moment. That being said, thanks again for your explanation and quick answer. I'll be hanging on till the Mac version becomes available ;)

@Bens74 Appreciate that, and your point about transparency is well taken — we’ll make sure future announcements are clearer about what’s coming and when. Thank you again.

I would love to see the "edit" option available on posts in this community forum so one can correct typos... EDIT: TEST: Yep! It's working!

    Stan Anderson · 1d

Done, do a hard refresh and you should see the Edit option now.
