Getting started

Connect the FlightSimBuilder Hub

FlightSimSocial logs your flights automatically through the free FlightSimBuilder Hub. Set it up once, then just fly: every landing shows up in your logbook and feed with the route, stats and map.

Have FlightSimBuilder hardware?

You already use the Hub. Make sure it's up to date, then skip to step 2 and pair.

No FlightSimBuilder devices?

You can still use the Hub. It's free and works with no devices connected: it tracks and logs every flight. Start at step 1.

1Get the Hub

Download the FlightSimBuilder Hub for Windows and install it. No account or hardware needed.

Download the Hub

“No devices found” on the Hub's main screen is fine. Flight logging works without hardware.

2Pair it with FlightSimSocial

  1. On FlightSimSocial, open Settings → Hub and click Generate 8-digit code. (Sign up first; it's free.)
  2. In the Hub, click FlightSimSocial · Hub not connected at the bottom of the main screen (1), or open Settings (the gear at the top left) and go to FlightSimSocial → Hub connection (2).
  3. Enter the code. Within a few seconds both the Hub and FlightSimSocial show Connected.

Don't see FlightSimSocial in the Hub? Update the Hub to the latest version (it usually updates itself when it starts).

3Fly

Pick your sim version in the Hub (MSFS 2020 or 2024) and fly as usual. When you land, the flight posts to your logbook and feed automatically, with the route map, altitude and speed, fuel and landing rate.

  • Add screenshots and a YouTube video to any flight afterwards.
  • Flights shorter than a minute (resets and slews) aren't posted.
  • Log a 10+ minute flight with 3 screenshots while spots last to earn a numbered Founding Pilot badge.
